Numbers not dialling

Added by Robbie Banks almost 10 years ago

Hi, I thought I could get this system working without much technical knowledge, but it seems like I've gotten stuck.

I've installed the goautodial from this website, followed the tutorial, the install went fine. I bought credit with justgovoip to make it simple.

I can create campaigns and load leads fine, I can log in as an agent and it rings on x-lite and when I answer it says "You are currently the only person in this conference" just like the tutorial said. Then nothing happens.

The control panel shows the agent on pause and it stays there. I loaded the leads with my own landline number, but it never rings. I've tried auto and manual dialing, and again nothing happens. The control panel still displays the agent on pause (despite any buttons you press as an agent) and no leads are used.

I don't seem to be getting any errors, or at least I don't know where to look up error logs. So I've really got no idea where to start searching.

Any ideas?

I recommend going over the Getting Started Guide again just to make sure you didn't miss anything.

On the agent screen, did you click the "Resume" button? By the default, the agent is in "Pause" mode when they login. Can you post a screenshot of your campaign settings here?

I tried doing a fresh install, I followed all the instructions very carefully. Now when I'm trying to set-up carrier it gets stuck on this "loading" screen. Also, since I reinstalled it I don't know how to get the justgovoip account back on the front screen as there is no option to sign in, only sign up for a new account.

Anyway, one thing I noticed that is different from the tutorial is my IP address is blank on the vicidial server and the timezone is different to what I set in the set-up as per the tutorial.

RE: Numbers not dialling - Added by Robbie Banks almost 10 years ago

I think I fixed the IP issue by pressing Y instead of N when I ran the update_server_ip, but the carrier is still getting stuck on the loading screen.

RE: Numbers not dialling - Added by Robbie Banks almost 10 years ago

I'm using one of my computers as the server "Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-3470 CPU @ 3.20GHz" I believe I have a proper LAN setup, at least I've never had problems with it before.

I followed all the tutorials, after reinstalling it, I seem to be getting closer. Still having problems with the Justgovoip, I can't even register a new account or bring in my old account. I have some other SIP accounts too and I can add them in the carrier section. I guess there might be a problem with Justgovoip at the moment, I'm still waiting for a reply from their support.

When I try to dial using one of my other VOIP accounts it starts ringing but after about 20 seconds I get an error message "DIAL ALERT: Call Rejected: CHANUNAVAIL cause 20 - Subscriber Absent."

I tried calling the VOIP provider and they said they can't see any issues on their end and I've never had issues with registering their VOIP before.

I'm not really sure what my next move should be from here.

Hi,

Can you post your campaign settings here, a campaign screenshot will do.

RE: Numbers not dialling - Added by Robbie Banks almost 10 years ago

I'm just using the standard campaign, I only changed it to manual dialling and made sure it's 24 hours. I also included the error I'm getting.

RE: Numbers not dialling - Added by striker 247 almost 10 years ago

post the output of below commands

asterisk -rx "sip show peers"
asterisk -rx "sip show registry"

post your carrier settings and dialplan entry

RE: Numbers not dialling - Added by Robbie Banks almost 10 years ago

I don't know how to access the server from my laptop as I'm a noob at this, so I can't paste the full output but this is basically what it is:

chan_sip.c:8291 transmit_register:probably a DNS error for registration for trying to register again. and
chan_sip.c:3225 create_addr: no such host name

and both my SIP's are showing as unregistered.

I tried playing with the DNS servers in setup. If I change to 8.8.8.8 etc the softphones wont connect and I can't ping google.com, but I can ping by IP address. When I set the DNS as 192.168.0.1 I can ping google.com, and even the voip providers domains and the softphones connect. The error's however remain the same, still DNS error and no such host name, even though I can ping the host.

I know this is trying to tell me what the problem is, I just don't know enough about it to figure it out.

Here is one of the carrier settings:

register => xxxxxxx::5060/xxxxxxxx

[mynetfone]
disallow=all
type=friend
dtmfmode=rfc2833
context=trunkinbound
qualify=yes
insecure=very
nat=yes
host=sip10.mynetfone.com.au
username=xxxxxxxx
secret=xxxxxxx
allow=g729

exten => _961.,1,AGI
exten => _961.,2,Dial(SIP/${EXTEN:3}@mynetfone,,tTo)
exten => _961.,3,Hangup

This voip account definitely works, and I've been able to set it up on lots of different softphones and SIP phones without any issues.

I'm trying to call numbers in Australia, I copied the dial plan, only the EXTEN:1 always changes to EXTEN:3, so I'm not sure about that. I guess the problem for now is with registering in the first place though.

RE: Numbers not dialling - Added by striker 247 almost 10 years ago

you have to use the client called Putty
download link here http://the.earth.li/~sgtatham/putty/latest/x86/putty.exe

video link to how to use putty https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9CZphjhQxIQ

once you have loggged in to ur server via putty type the below commands

asterisk -vvvr
sip show peers
sip show registry

as you mentioned dns issue, get a proper DNS form your ISP .

RE: Numbers not dialling - Added by Robbie Banks almost 10 years ago

I ended up doing a re-install of the server. After I set everything up as per the tutorial I do a reboot and the DNS details are missing from the Set-up, I made sure to fill them in again before changing anything else, and my sip was able to register now. Everything that wasn't working before is working now. Thank you everyone for your help so far.

Now I've got a different problem, I'm getting an error message "Congestion: call rejected cause 21" I also tried upgrading to goadmin 3.3, but no change.

here is the CLI output from putty when I try making a call:

This is the config and dialplan I'm using:

register => xxxxxxxx::5060/xxxxxxxx

[goautodial]
disallow=all
allow=gsm
allow=ulaw
type=friend
dtmfmode=rfc2833
context=trunkinbound
qualify=yes
insecure=very
nat=yes
host=dal.justgovoip.com
username=xxxxxxxx
secret=xxxxxx

exten => _961.,1,AGI
exten => _961.,2,Dial(SIP/${EXTEN:3}@goautodial,,tTo)
exten => _961.,3,Hangup

I don't know if the dialing code is right, in that output it says it's calling 96161, so it's repeating the AUS country code twice? is that normal or is this wrong? also that forbidden message looks troubling. Any idea's what this all means?

Hi Robbie,

This issue will be marked as resolved. Dial plan changed to 10 digits. As for the others having this issue please see the sample dial plan below

exten => _1234567891.,1,AGI
exten => _1234567891.,2,Dial(SIP/${EXTEN:10}@goautodial,,tTo)
exten => _1234567891.,3,Hangup

RE: Numbers not dialling - Added by Robbie Banks almost 10 years ago
