TIme Sync Issue
Added by James K about 10 years ago
I've had a real issue with this, I've followed multiple forum posts (including striker's blog) on how to fix this but I seem to have no luck (the only thing I haven't tried is installing Go Auto Dial CE 2.1 and upgrading
It seems crazy that this is the only way to fix this, I've tried installing the CE 3.3 on 2 different computers but keep getting that time sync issue with the agent logging in.
I can't see any real fixes, I can see that the time is out by at least 3ms and that when its booting up it says -
"10 May 09:44:11 ntpdate2784: adjust time server 130.217.226.51 offset -0.384868 sec" (I'm not sure where this IP came from, its my not IP)
So it clearly shows there is an offset in the time, so any ideas why this is?
Thanks

Hello James,
Try the following :-
1) Log in to Admin dashboard and clusters you will find the server ip "xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx" or "xxx.xxx.xxx.xxxMask2"
2) Log in to your server and do a update_server_ip Enter the old "IP" that you found for your server under cluster & then enter the new "Enternal IP" for your server
3) Reboot your server
Now it should work fine.
Thanks,
Deepa

post your network setup,
are you using a physical server or virtual server.
post the output of dahdi_cfg -vvvv and /etc/init.d/dahdi restart

Thanks for this, I think the issue with with my network (not quite sure where) as when I change it to DHCP, it all works (but the agent gets disconnected after 15 seconds, there must be another setting that does this when its idle for a short time).
