Help on Goautodial architecture

Added by Otgoo A about 10 years ago

Hi guys, I`m very new for Goautodial. Installed yesterday but can`t register SIP client to GoAutoDial server. I see it created some default extensions such as 8001-8020. But when I see /etc/asterisk/users.conf, there are no such extensions created on Asterisk and when I see log on asterisk it says "no matching peer found". Basically I read wiki pages and searched in forum. I didn`t find answer on my question. Please help me to do it.

I see structure of GoAutoDial has Asterisk, Apache, Goautodial, Vicidial and MySQL. What is the workflow of those systems? How it works? Should I have a good knownledge about Vicidial? What exactly goautodial do? What exactly Vicidial do?

Hi Otgoo,

Basically you need to have at-least basic knowledge on all of thatAsterisk,Mysql,Apache and Vicidial since Goautodial is a distro that backend base on vicidial application.

Since you are new to the system please read the getting started guide on this link http://goautodial.org/projects/goautodialce/wiki/Goautodial_Getting_Started_Guidev3

Hope that helps.

Cheers

Hi Wilper,
Thank you so much for your kind answer and guide. I already have this getting started guide. But now my issue is I can not register SIP client to Goautodial server. I have basic knowledge of Asterisk. What I see is extensions of Goautodial did not created on Asterisk. Could you please help on that :-) ?

Hi,

Please check the phone extension credentials by navigating to Admin settings > Phones > Select your phone extension and click on advance settings. Phone extensions are created on /etc/asterisk/sip-vicidial.conf kindly check your extensions credentials and let us know how it goes.

Regards,
Ryan

Did you changed your IP, if yes then run script "update_server_ip" from ssh and also check for server ip in gui admin settings > server ? As Levy said check "Please check the phone extension credentials by navigating to Admin settings > Phones > Select your phone extension and click on advance settings", Server field should be set to your correct ip address. Just click on Modify once.
