SIP phone disconnecting - Both Zoiper and XLITE

Added by Chris Braswell over 11 years ago

I've been struggling to figure this one out and could use some help.

Running GoAdmin 3.0-1375156800 32 bit

Fresh install via yum per the instructions in the wiki. Using justgovoip for the carrier. Using default carrier settings (last 3 digits shows as xxx for security):

exten => _2012085xxx.,1,AGI
exten => _2012085xxx.,2,Dial(SIP/${EXTEN:10}@govoip2012085xxx,,tTo)
exten => _2012085xxx.,3,Hangup

I have the campaign set as manual dial. When I connect everything is fine. It dials the first number and connects everytime. After hanging up, it will sometimes dial the next number fine, but after a few numbers, my Zoiper will leave the conference. There's no indication of it other than I can't here anything. Not the number ringing, any person on the phone, and no hangup or connect sounds. When I tried Xlite, it does the same thing, but in using Xlite, I realized Xlite was kicked from the conference since it makes a sound indicating it.

I submitted a ticket and was told to untick the G279 in the carrier settings. I did, but there was no change. I disabled the firewall and tried from 2 different internet connections to ensure it wasn't a firewall issue.

Here is my asterisk output:

Connected to the first number fine. Rang, got no answer. Clicked on Hang up. Chose Answering Machine as status. Hit Dial Next and no sounds. I must not be in the conference. Clicked on Hang Up and logged out.

Hi Chris,

Good day! Can you verify if the following audio codecs GSM,g711 ulaw and alaw are enabled on your softphone settings.

Regards,
Ryan

Only GSM, u-law, and a-law are enabled in zoiper. I don't see an option for g711.

You need to enable the keep alive session feature of your softphones (or disable their timeout settings). They normally disconnect after 30 seconds of inactivity.

Ulaw is g711.

I've tried both suggestions and the issue remains.

Edit /etc/asterisk/sip.conf and change the following entry from:

rtptimeout=60 ; Terminate call if 60 seconds of no RTP or RTCP activity

to:

;rtptimeout=60 ; Terminate call if 60 seconds of no RTP or RTCP activity

Reload or restart Asterisk:

asterisk -rx "reload"

Let us know if this helps.
