centos 5.7 64 bit
Added by steven cho almost 12 years ago
Hello,
I am trying to install goautodial, but the contract dev that I got says that I need 32 bit, but my hosting company says that they don't have 32 bit anymore and if I want that, i would have to rent a dedicated server, which i don't want to do. I have read on the wiki here that we can install on centos 5.9 64 bit, but can I install on centos 5.7 64 bit? Thank you for your assistance.

Is it a virtual private server? If so is it running openvz or zen?

it's on the cloud. You can see the provider at www.stormondemand.com.

You will need to contact the provider to check this?

A dedicated server is recommended if you're going on production. A virtual server is not recommended for production due to various issues (unless you know what you're doing and can successfully find a work-around to it's limitations).
You can update CentOS 5.7 to 5.9 by running:
#yum update
