Client want his server to be online only on demand and I'm new to GoAutodial

Hi there,

my client wants his goautodial for outbound only (4-8 workstations) and wants it to be online only when the cable is plugged.

I guess it's possible with a firewall like this here:

I'm new to GoAutodial and from what I understand you install it on a server, and then the agents login over https for the controls.

So we got 2 layers, the PBX where calls are processed that logs into the carrier and HTTPS connections for the interface?

Hope these questions are not too stupid, I'm trying my best to wrap my head around.

Could you help me understand these things:

1. My client wants to have his on-premise server for outbound online only on demand. What do I need to make a setup like this work?

what kind of trunk you are going to use.
trunk types
1. VOIP
2. ISDN/PRI/E1/T1
3. analog lines

if you are using VOIP turnks then no need of the device which you mentioned Ie:lancorn,just internet is required
if ISDN you need PRI Card or gateway in the goatuodial server in which telco line is connected for dialling.
same for analog line you need to have analog card or a Analog gateway.

Goautodial will support Autodail, manual dial ,survey dial
once agents are logged in to the https agent interface and press resume button , the goautodial server will start the dialling.
unless the goautodial connected to network with live agents the autodial will not start.

you need to have dedicated server ( for 8agents i recomend dualcore intel xeon 4gb ram server) with goautodial installed,
either VOIP trunk or ISDN trunk should be connected
connected to you local network with a static ip (local IP).
