Goautodial 3.3 with asterisk 1.4?
Added by Jesse Karhu almost 9 years ago
Hi,
Trying to build my first GAD setup.
I got my hands in to couple of VoiSmart VGSM-II gateways. Asterisk module for card compiles only for version 1.4 or older. So I removed asterisk 1.8 with rpm without depencies and installed 1.4 version from repo. Driver compiled without problems.
Somehow this breaks the system. Asterisk cli doesn't show any users with: sip show users and softphone can't login. Does anyone have any experience downgrading asterisk without breaking the system?
There's always option to run asterisk in separate machine, but I would appreciate easier way.

If you have downgraded Asterisk from 1.8 to 1.4, you also need to use the Asterisk 1.4 configuration files. You need to run the Vicidial install script and specify the Asterisk version and to copy their corresponding configuration files.
cd /usr/src/vicidial/ perl install --asterisk_version=1.4 --copy_sample_conf_files
You also need to change the Asterisk version in the system settings page on the GOautodial admin.
