Whats the MAX number for calls for the following specs

Added by Guillermo Quiros almost 11 years ago

I got a server with the following specs:

Intel Dual Xeon L5420
8 cores @ 2.5 GHz each one
24gb of Ram
Hard Drive is Solid State Drive

we are NOT using g729 as codec, just using what it comes normal

We are running GO AUTO DIAL (latest and fully updated)

How many simultaneous calls can we make? (that's so i can consider the amount of AGENTS i can work with)

Keep in mind that if more hardware is needed, we will use it... we will buy it...

What is the max amount of calls doing OUTBOUND only and as well doing OUTBOUND with VOICE RECORDING

Thanks you all guys !!!

Is this a single server? Are you going to record all calls? There is really no official benchmarks yet since there are a number of configurations that can be done to a GOautodial/Vicidial system. However, a single server will limit the number of calls compared to having a dedicated database, web and dialer servers (in cluster mode).

Yes... one single server

No Calls recording

I got 150 agents, and need to have them dialing but as well want to find out how many servers will i need for that...

Separating the database is highly recommended. It's possible to accommodate 150 agents with your server specs (given the database is on another server). One of the problems we've encountered having 100+ agents on a single server is that the server can't allocate more DAHDI channels for the meetme conference rooms. This normally happens when more than 100+ agents are taking calls. This is using DAHDI dummy without any hardware based timers. Looks like there is a hard limit on the number of DAHDI and other live channels that a single server can accommodate (using DAHDI dummy).

Let us know how it goes with yours.
