Sorry about the late reply - Weekend and all that!

This is what appears in the CLI when I run "sip show peers" - This Ext. is registered but GoAutoDial won't ring it.

As for the CLI output when I log in, that's:

[Jan 13 11:11:18] WARNING[4454]: db.c:124 dbinit: Unable to open Asterisk database '/var/lib/asterisk/astdb': Permission denied

But that has appeared in another post and the Dev told us that it could be safely ignored.

Off topic but I've discovered that the Service Status Widget is displaying my "Network" Service as Not Running, but when I SSH into my server and check it says it is?

Further findings!

I can ping my server FROM my machine, but I can't ping my machine from my server?

Right, last chain post honest!

My server is 192.168.1.59
My machine is 192.168.1.22

Both got the default Class C subnet for 255.255.255.0.

The server is attached to the domain BUT my machine is not.

Is it possible for the server to connect to my machine without it being domained?

It seems like I've answered my own question!

The machine DOES have to be domained in order for them to be able to ping each other.

My last question (for now!) is:

Is there any way for the server to connect to undomained machines?

Okay, so the machine and server can now talk to each other but it still won't ring the softphone :(

This has been resolved by our technical support group. Thank for your paid support. Vicidial needs to be updated to 2.7RC1 before upgrading Asterisk to 1.8.

solved with the simple command:

chown asterisk:asterisk /var/lib/asterisk/astdb

[Oct 16 18:05:02] WARNING[3820]: db.c:124 dbinit: Unable to open Asterisk database '/var/lib/asterisk/astdb': Permission denied
[Oct 16 18:05:02] WARNING[3820]: db.c:649 ast_db_gettree: Database unavailable
