Extremely slow login time

Added by Errol Samuels over 10 years ago

Hello,

I am new to GoAutoDial and I have installed GoAutoDial CE from both 64-bit iso and also the from scratch install from here http://goautodial.org/projects/goautodialce/wiki/64bit and on both occasions the login page shows "redirecting...." for about 3 mins and 15 secs before it actually logs in?

It has been installed on a system with 4 x 2Ghz CPU Cores and 8GB Ram.

Is this a known issue? Is there a fix available?

Any feedback will be appreciated.

Thanks

Errol

I tried with the 32bit version and even increased the CPU to 8 Cores and the RAM to 16GB and that didn't make a difference.

However I downloaded the 2.1 Version and installed it on the same hardware 4 x 2Ghz (Xeon E5-2620) CPU Cores and 8GB Ram and that logs in fine after a few secs as expected.

So again is this a known issue with 3.0?

Errol

Sounds like a misconfiguration somewhere. Our logins are quite normal (a second or two). Is this a single server or multi-server setup?

Hello Demian,

This is a single server installation straight from the ISO. So it seems I am having the issue with both the GoAutoDial 3.0 CE 32bit and the 64bit versions.

Just to give a bit more info it is running on a Virtual Server (KVM Hypervisor on Proxmox) but I am able to throw as much resources at it as needed. I have been running Asterisk / Freeswitch Systems on Virtual Servers in Production for years without issues.

I also have it running on a private IP behind Shorewall Firewall but all the relevant ports are opened.

tcp: 21,22,80,222,443,5060,5061
udp: 631,5060,5061,10000:65000

After installation I did a yum -y update and rebooted.

[root@go ~]# uname -mrs
Linux 2.6.18-348.12.1.el5.goPAE i686

With regards to my php configuration it is as follows:

memory_limit = 1024M
short_open_tag = On
max_execution_time = 360
max_input_time = 360
post_max_size = 64M
upload_max_filesize = 64M
default_socket_timeout = 360

Not sure what else I can do but version 2.1 loads just fine so this is weird.

regards,

Errol

We have also tested it on a KVM under Proxmox and it's working good. So does via OpenVZ container (via http://goautodial.org/projects/goautodialce/wiki/64bit). All default settings. Have you tried using VirtualBox?

GOautodial CE 3.0 applications (GOadmin and GOreports) uses the PHP framework Code Igniter. Most of the web page rendering is coming from the workstation when accessing the web applications/interface (compared to stock Vicidial and version 2.1 which uses the server's). On a decent workstation with 1 GB of RAM and dual core processors, loading should be quite fast.

Have you tried putting it on a public IP or access it via LAN and see if it makes a difference?

The VM has a dedicated public IP assigned to it just that the VM is behind NAT. I just took your advice and I tried an SSH tunnel to the VM and connected to GUI via the Private IP and it loads correctly within a few seconds. So maybe there is some strange issue with the firewall and goautodial which beats me since I have FreePBX / A2Billing and other VMs running just fine with this setup.

For the web applications, ports 80 and 443 are needed open. Since you mentioned that your setup already has those forwarded or opened not really sure why you were getting delays on your log-ins. Might be because of NAT issues.

I am having same issue...Local connection is perfect the second i go outside the network (pfsense firewall) it all goes downhill...anyone fix this?

RE: Extremely slow login time - Added by k d over 10 years ago

Fixed it !!!!!! It was a NAT/Firewall issue in my case for sure....see screenshot for description of issue !!

running pfsense2.1 and godial ce3.0 64bit now works without issue...autodial on a dualcore slow 2GB ram
