External Access to the Dialer - Is this just me or really a bug

I'm testing to access the Goautodial Interface from outside the local network.
Before, i ussually do port forwarding, but now, it does work but only upto displaying the main screen.
When i click on login, it does not work.

Also, After logging in, it loads very slow. Is this something wrong with my installation,
or is this a bug that needs fixing?

Which ports are you forwarding to your GOautodial server? What browser are you using (we recommend Firefox or Google Chrome)?

Forwarding an external port 8888 to 443 . Using Chrome.
I had to edit the file index.php. I'm no programmer so i just poked around and changed it to window.location.host
It eventually worked and logged in .. but it's very slow.

Are there ports that i need to be aware of or changes in the system to allow access to it externally?

Have you tried forwarding the default ports (80 and 443)? Check if the results are different. You don't need to edit index.php.
