hi pleae help me to configure the fail2ban

Hi,

This is request you to help me in installation and configuration of the fail2ban software on my goautodial 2.1 , i have 2 network cards one is public ip directly and the other is local, so how to configure the fail2ban, please tell me steps, as i observed repetitive attacks on my goautodial. currently i have secured my passwords but still want to be safe by installing the fail2ban. please help .

Hi,

Good day! If you are using GOautodial version 3. Fail2ban is already installed by default. You just need to configure it according to your setup.

Hello Ryan,

Thanks for your reply, i have installed version 3 , but do not know how to configure Fail2ban, please tell me how to do that , i have 2 nic cards, one with public ip xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx and the other with 192.168.1.4 , so please tell me what i should do.

Hi George,

Fail2ban settings can be found at "/etc/fail2ban/jail.conf". Configuration of fail2ban depends on your requirements such as "maxretry" the number of failures before a host get banned.
