ring back tone on manuall dial
Added by george lagardo almost 12 years ago
Hello,
I am using goautodial-64bit-ce-3.0-RC1b , I wonder how to go about getting ring-back tone while dialling manually any number, just like any other phone call we do using a regular phone. please help me as this became very-much necessary for me as while dialling a number now i could get to hear either the an person or a answering machine directly but cant hear any ringing sound while waiting, and if there is any problem with the calling number I cant make out what happened as I don’t get to know the ring back tone.
thanks and regards
George

Try changing your manual dial prefix in your campaign settings to 88 if you're using dial prefix 9 in that campaign. This will use the Trunkloop dialplan that automatically answers the call so your agents can hear the outgoing call.
; This is a loopback dialaround to allow for hearing of ringing for 3way calls exten => _881NXXNXXXXXX,1,Answer exten => _881NXXNXXXXXX,2,Dial(${TRUNKloop}/9${EXTEN:2},,To) exten => _881NXXNXXXXXX,3,Hangup

That actually don't work since we are using meetme rooms of Asterisk for dialing. If it's a plain Asterisk the "r" options works. The best way is to use the Trunkloop option i posted above.
