Description

Hi,

I've installed (goautodial-64bit-ce-3.3-final.iso) from CD on a VM without issue, but now I’m trying to install it on an old server I got off Ebay (HP ProLiant DL160 G6 Server - E5504 2.0 Quad core processor (1 x E5504 2.0ghx Quad Core processor, 4Gb memory, 2 x western digital 160Gb & 1 x seagate 160 drives - originally Raid 5, 1 x SCSI adapter - lSI 203201E LSI Logic).

The Ethernet is working (lights up when power cord is connected) also I’ve installed other O/S to make sure it’s functioning correctly i.e. the server.

So to my problem is; apart from this thing is supper noisy, and I guess that's why you would have a server room instead of keeping it in the bed room.

Once the installation starts, I notice the light goes off on the Ethernet, both on the server end & hub.

Upon loading whenever it gets to the connecting to the internet stage, I get the following; on screen, after it (goautodial-64bit-ce-3.3-final.iso) tries to down load to continue installation, but I see “Retrying package download…” then after a while I get “Error The file ed-0.2-39.el5_2.x86.rpm cannot be opened. This is due to a missing file, a corrupt package or corrupt media.
Please verify your installation source.
If you exit, your system will be left in an inconsistent state that will likely require reinstallation.
Reboot Retry”

I’m guessing it’s not loading the drivers needed for the Ethernet because as stated before the connection is severed once install is started.

Can anybody help please shed some light on how to solve this?
