Registration Issue

Added by James Blain over 10 years ago

Hello All!

System/Install/Background info
I have GoAutoDial version goautodial-64bit-ce-3.0-RC1b that installed straight off the ISO and then I did the yum update. I am running it as a virtual box inside of Parallels under osX. The system I am using has a 512gb solid-state drive with 16GB of ram and core 2 duo chip. I made sure the virtual machine has 8gb of ram to use and 64gb of harddrive space. I also made sure to give it full access to the cpu under load. I used the getting started guide and made sure I followed all the steps to the letter.

Problem:

I am having trouble with a carrier registering. I got GoVoip to register fine so I know at least one carrier works, but the service I was wanting to use was RIngCentral. I already have ring central setup and working on some softphones so I want to use them until I really commit to my goautodial machine. I have tried just about every different kind of carrier setup I could find/think of and it keeps timing out when trying to register. I have been watching on the asterisk console and it just says "Registration for '' timed out, trying again attempt #..." I have heard of people using ringcentral but I have googled, binged and looked for 2 days with no luck finding the right settings. I did ping sip.ringcentral.com from the console and I get a response so I know it can get to it. If anyone could lend a hand I would really Appreciate it!

Can't really provide much help here since we haven't tried RingCentral. Why not use our VoIP services since you already have it registered? We provide 60 free minutes for testing the system.

What's the output of "sip show peers" in your Asterisk CLI?

I was actually thinking of doing that but I am a noob with phone systems. I couldn't really find much info or manual on justgovoip so I didn't know how to set it up. I was wanting to get ringcentral setup since that would at least let me start using goautodial.
