Allow remote access behind router V4

Hi, I am trying to get V4 to work behind my router. I configured it to use our local IP address and that works fine. How I would like to register a phone and give agents access to work from home. The phone is not registering and the agent is not able to login phon. I did a DMZ host so that all traffic is sent to that server for testing purposes(will tighten up after I know it works). I tried going directly to asterisk and use port 5070 but it's from the asterisk CLI it's saying password incorrect. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,

Did you disable WebRTC settings? You can also try to change the bindport on your sip.conf if you want to use the phone registration.

Yes, I did. I opted to use the bind port as is 5070 and specified that when registering the softphone. It's saying "Wrong Password". on the local network i am able to register using the default 5060 which I think uses Kamailio. Should I be trying to use the same port 5060 and register using Kamailio or should i be using 5070 and try registering directly in asterisk?

Hi,

Please use 5060 for registering or try to download Zoiper 3.15 and use it as your softphone.

FYI please also make sure the following ports are enabled in your firewall and iptables:

TCP: 443, 4443, 22
UDP: 5060,5070,30K - 65535

Thank you apparently the firewall came back up after I restarted. I am now able to register my phone. Thank you.
