can not set up the carrier

in the dashboard calls r ringing but even after 150 calls no live call took place.
tried both the user based method and ip based , but not a single one did work.
in the carrier set up followed the below mentioned steps
In case of IP based authentication:
carrier type: manual >
Carrier ID:
Carrier Name:
Carrier Description:
User Group:
Authentication: IP Based
SIP Server: the server ip given by the VoIP provider
Codecs: GSM ULAW
DTMF Mode: RFC2833
Protocol: SIP
Server IP: my server ip
Active : yes
Dialplan: Default ( after putting above mentioned details it got set automatically )
In case of user based registration:
Carrier ID:
Carrier Name:
Carrier Description:
User Group:
Authentication: Registration
Username: given by VoIP provider
Password: given by VoIP provider
Servers IP/Host: given by VoIP provider
Port: 5060
Codecs: GSM ULAW
DTMF Mode: RFC2833
Protocol: SIP
Server IP: my server IP
Active : yes
Dialplan: Default ( after putting above mentioned details it got set automatically )
nothing works.... please help me what to do? how to set up carrier perfectly.

Hi,
We would be able to help you more if you give more details like asterisk CLI logs while attempting a call. Call status of you previously dialed.
