Migrate to Goautodial
Added by Dimitar Gospodinov about 10 years ago
Hi there guys I am currently running Vicidial VERSION: 2.10-448a BUILD: 140706-0927 but I like the GOautodial interface better.
My question is can I upgrade my current setup to use GOAutodial but still use Open Suse.
I have inlstalled it an a test server but I can't wipe all the data from the real one just to install CentOS. There are a lot of other services that are running and I can't mess with them.
I saw that there is a separate database just for GOautodial settings and such but the asterisk database is also modified. I managed to merge a fresh database with my current one but I want to know if there is an easy way just to change the interface.
Thanks in advance.

It's possible to install GOautodial on top of a running Vicidial system (regardless of Linux distribution). However, we've only tested the GOautodial applications against Vicidial 2.9RC1. It might not work on higher versions of Vicidial.
The easiest way to do this is to do a MySQL dump of your Vicidial data and migrate it to a GOautodial CE 3.3 server. You then need to run
cd /usr/src/goautodial/sql mysql -p -f asterisk asterisk.sql
Update the IP address settings:
update_server_ip
Try this on a virtual machine and let us know how it goes.
You can also use this instruction to run GOautodial on other systems running Vicidial. Install GOautodial via GIThub (http://goautodial.org/projects/goautodialce/wiki/GIThub). Then get the necessary SQL files from an existing GOautodial 3.3 server/VM.
