GoAutoDial or ViciDial or ViciDial Group?! I am caring for these 3 features to be all togethor possible.

Dear All;

I am using asterisk and need to use outbound dialer and really caring for the below 3 things to be possible to be applied (all togethor to be applied, not to apply one of it and not apply the other) and I need advise to know which product (GoAutodial, vicidial or vicidial group) can support (if it supports) those three requirements all togethor:

1) When the call will happen, we need to hear at the phone what is happenning (if it is ringing, or it is busy tone or answer machine or fax detection).

2) While calling with the customer, if the call disconnected then I need to resume the call, so the next call should not come until I decide to move for the next call. But after certain time, if I did not move for the next call, the next call should come automatically.

3) All of those things to be reported.

Now, if I need to do modification (ability to modify) and ability to Integrate with the CRM (other than vtiger .. we have our own CRM), can we do this? Using an APIs or using the source code?

What to use? Vicidial or GoAutodial or Vicidial group? Actually I am not able to determine exactly the difference and when to go for this.

Note: Asterisk already installed with its Digium card.

By the way: All of those open source?

Hi,

To give you some idea Goautodial, Vicidial (group) use the same application, however GoautoDial have done a lot of system enhancement on the operating system (Centos 5.6) asterisk,vicidial and modification on the interface/configuration so that it will be easy to use and maximize your hardware capabilities.To answer your 3 question all of that is already handled by Goautodial/vicidial. The choice is still yours in my opinion you can always evaluate both system so that you can see the difference using VM etc.

All of this is opensource.

To answer your 3 question all of that is already handled by Goautodial/vicidial.

  • Good, so I can do it? Because actually what I am looking to it is to acheive a dialer to be preview mode with automatic dialing and ability to do manual calls without losing the automatic dialing feature. How?

This is the main scenario that I need:

Preview mode (so call come to agent, agent select accept) and then if call disconnected for any reason "like GSM problem" then I can re call the customer again before the next call is coming for me. Also to avoid any conflict between manual and automatic, what I am looking into is to have a duration time after the call finished (finished by being disconnected due to gsm failure or finished because it the conversation finished successfully with the customer), during this duration I can do the following:

- To re dial the customer (in case call disconnected due to any failure, and the conversation has not been finished yet).
- To place call back.
- Ability to select Next, so the next call will come.
- If did not select Next and did not do any thing within this duration, then the next call to come automatically for me.

Can u please confirm me that I can acheive this scenario? If yes, any small idea on what kind of configuration really I need to do (just general overview).

Hi,

Yes you can achieve all of this. Most of the setup / configuration is in the vicidial managers manual.
