receive calls from IP

hi
i am new to goautodial and may be what i ask sound stupid but still i want to clear my confusion
if i purchase a phone number and setup it to send calls to my server ip where goautodial is installed,
is it possible i can receive calls on one of my goautodial extension that i have setup on my softphone?

eg: my phone company is sending incoming calls to my server ip... and i want to fwd the call to my goautodial agent 8001
