Agents Hear a lot rings along with live customers,

HI: We use VICIdial for telemarketing purposes.

It was working fine until 23rd Oct when suddenly agents started hearing rings/bells among live calls (almost 50% rings).
We tried finding the issue in house, VoIP company also investigated if it was FAS but they reject calls on 503 but agent hear rings.

Most of the time it is from VOIP side. I will give you one demo account. Can you please test it on that account ?

Hello,

this is know as FAS (False Answering Service) this is introduced by vendors/carrier to bill you few extra bucks. usually Goautodial/Vicidial disconnect the call if answering machine detection is on AMD can drop calls in answering machine or ring is head by the dialer, but it detects these things after few seconds so vendor is having high ground to charge you extra amount for connected calls. but in your case I suspect that you have turned off AM so calls are transferred to your agent and once agent is on the line dialer is not going to drop the call. This Ring could be 2-3 minutes recording after which call will get dropped automatically.
