Upgrade Issue

Added by Gbolahan Oshonubi almost 11 years ago

Hello,

I upraded from version 2.1 to 3.0. When I logged-in, I got the following errors

The requested URL /dashboard was not found on this server.

On checking my http directory, there is no folder called dashboard. Is there anything wrong in my upgrade. Kindly assist.

You might have missed a step or two in the upgrade instructions. There is really no /dashboard directory. This is like a virtual or masked directory pointing to a URL.

Here's the workaround:

Edit httpd.conf

#nano /etc/httpd/conf/httpd.conf

Go to line 327 and change the following entry:

AllowOverride None

to

AllowOverride All

Restart Apache/HTTPD:

#service httpd restart

Hi, I am having the same issue changing to AllowOveride = All in httpd.conf did not fix the issue. In my case I just installed Cent OS 5.9 and GoAutodial 3.3 following the documentation not sure what was missing? Please help

The above solution by @Demin did not work for me, for me the issue got resolved by below steps

Edit VirtualHost in httpd.conf after setting up VirtualHost as below issue got resolved. Trust I am almost the verge of moving out of goautodial :)

<VirtualHost *:80>
ServerAdmin webmaster@localhost
DocumentRoot /var/www/html
<Directory />
Options FollowSymLinks
AllowOverride None
</Directory>
<Directory /var/www/html/>
Options Indexes FollowSymLinks MultiViews
AllowOverride None
Order allow,deny
allow from all
</Directory>
ScriptAlias /cgi-bin/ /usr/lib/cgi-bin/
<Directory "/usr/lib/cgi-bin">
AllowOverride None
Options +ExecCGI -MultiViews +SymLinksIfOwnerMatch
Order allow,deny
Allow from all
</Directory> # Possible values include: debug, info, notice, warn, error, crit, # alert, emerg.
LogLevel warn
</VirtualHost>

Please make sure remove if there is <Directory /var/www/html> element outside VirtualHost as no need in 2 places and also to ensure 1 does not override other.
I also given write permissions to /var/www/html with below command
chmod -R g+rw /var/www/html

Cheers!
